Stewart + Brown are crowned 'Most Sustainable Brand.'

Long have we wondered who would make it from the shortlist to be crowned the ‘Most Sustainable Brand or Retailer’ in the WGSN Global Fashion Awards, and last night in New York’s Gotham Hall, Stewart +Brown walked away with the treasured gong. Now in the award’s second year, Eco Age's long time love joins the ranks of last year’s winner People Tree, after beating Christopher Raeburn, Marks & Spencer and Pachacuti to the accolade.
Judged by a notable panel including other sustainable sartorialists Prophtetik’s Jeff Garner and From Somewhere’s Orsola de Castro, alongside industry experts such as Dolly Jones, Editor of VOGUE.COM, and Harvey Nichols buying director Averyl Oates, the brand born on the shared ideals of ethics and subtle comfort are finally getting the global recognition the small, LA based brand deserves.
Brand spokesperson Jocelyn Whipple said: "I am so thrilled and proud for Howard and Karen to be receiving this prestigious award. I've been their UK agent since 2006 and I simply cannot think of a more deserving brand. Stewart+Brown epitomise the very best of 'ethical' fashion and as a team they have pioneered this movement for us all! Long live Stewart+Brown!"
