Fru-Gal Challenge
...New Fru-Gal Louise Quick
It’s the first day of the Fru-Gal challenge and here I am partaking in that ever-so popular student pastime of standing awkwardly by a drain pipe. Fine, I’m actually off to lunch with an old friend and in a student house the choice of backdrops is limited.
The flowery blouse is a relatively recent addition to my wardrobe, having scavenged it from a local swap shop. Attending clothes swaps has to be my new favourite activity, (after standing by pipes). I’d definitely recommend going along to one.
The leather jacket, oh, the leather jacket! This was one of my earliest charity shop buys, and although it may be several sizes too small and the lining may be a little ripped, I still love it and wear it with pretty much everything.
My skirt, which is so darn comfortable, comes from an up-cycling company called Goodone. They combine reclaimed textiles and sustainable fabrics to create their gorgeous fashion range, which also includes a student-friendly ‘Basics’ collection.
