I found this dress in Beyond Retro near Brick Lane almost 5 years ago now. I still love the print and it’s got even better now the colours have faded through washing it so many times. The belt was my mother’s.

The bag was bought in a vintage shop on a holiday to Florence when I was 18. Second hand shops and charity shops don’t really exist in Italy in the same way they do over here and that was one thing I really missed about England when I moved away.

The knitted coat is from the damaged samples shelf at work (Pingush). In fact the dress, bag and knit have all been repaired at some point.

Finally I have a confession. Everyday I struggle to avoid wearing tights and almost everyday I fail. Being 6’3” it’s not often that I find vintage trousers to fit me and there is no way I’m going out in London winter weather in bare legs. There are a few companies that provide organic cotton tight but the main problem is that I am terribly clumsy and almost always snagging them. They are without a doubt my biggest eco sin. I’d be grateful of any suggestions to alternatives or if anyone can reccomend any ethically produced brands?
