Okay so, this is just about the bestest skirt in the wide world. I've never seen such a heavy lace, I am swaddled in thick black roses and it makes me feel so like a Emma Bovary (don't ask me why). I usually don it when trying to look snifty for something fancypants or other. Restaurants usually, or snazz-pot dinners and am going to one of those this evening. They'll probably have candles and matching cutlery and all. I spent all day in pyjamas and couldn't possibly show you that, so here's my tablewear. The pyjamas were largely because it's January and, after February, January is just about the worst. It's all anorexic bank balances with a drizz of rain and a gal needs a treat goddamn it. 

The came from my dear friend and landlady Katie, one of the many benefits of living with her is her awesome and legendary knowledge of charity shops. She assures me that she bought this skirt in Edinburgh in the 1980s. Apparently she got it for something ridiculous, like £15, because no one wanted old clothes then. The shock of the new.
