Time for a bit of ethnochic. My friend bought me this awesome little tribal-funk jumpsuit from a vintage shop in LA. The pockets are deep, the stripes are fantabulosa and the shoulders are pleated. All in all an absolute winner. I'm staying with a friend in her beautiful pile in Somerset and so we played a bit of dress-me-up today. That is why I have a wool cardigan wrapped all about my head, an ingenious and totally free way to fix a bad hair day.

I have also learnt recently that a slash of sock can really add a touch of brass and so here I've tuckled some over my clompy £25 heels. You can find their like in Pimlico at the wonderful Crusaid, a charity that raises funds for and awareness of HIV and AIDS. Urban Outfitters often donates to them in huge tranches and their second-hand shoe collection is always brilliant and mostly unworn
