A Fru-Gal returns.

We welcome back our most popular Fru-Gal from last year, to shine light in the winter gloom.

Now, I am wearing my winter pelt at the minute and so I'm not really at my best, so I may be bit blinds-down stuff this week and here's why: a diet of white Russians, champagne, Glenmorangie, buttered butter and pigs-in-blankets does not a glamgal make. It's mostly sallow, pitted skin and there are little flotillas of fat in all the wrong places. I look like a toddler ready for the pool, kitted out in all-over armbands. Damned winter.
Here I am wearing my nonsense skirt, but its great beams of neon make me happy when striding across Vauxhall Bridge and from the responses I've had it seems to make others happy too. It was £17 and came from the very bonkers Absolute Retro on Hanbury Street, which has a little bit of everything you fancy. You'll usually struggle to decide on one thing, as there is just so much there, but this one was no contest; nothing like spreading some radioactive joy. The jumper is the best-ever: light, warm, partly cashmere and is Cos via Octavia on the Brompton Road. They are dedicated to providing affordable housing for those that need and are stocked by those that have. The necklace is just some fancy triangle-bobbins that I strung-up this weekend, in all likelihood it will have broken by lunchtime, but the beads are from Beadworks in Covent Garden.
